Susan Gershowitz graduated from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, Maryland, in 1987 with a master’s degree in Acupuncture. She became Board Certified in Acupuncture in 1989. In 1990 she completed a two-year course in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Her practice consists of Five Element and Eight Principle Acupuncture. She uses moxa and cupping and is certified in Acuquit Smoking Cessation treatment.
Susan also is a Licensed Physical Therapist. She graduated from New York University in 1975 and has worked in various aspects of the field. She opened her practice in 1986 in Pikesville, Maryland. She was the first physical therapist in Maryland to become a licensed acupuncturist and incorporate acupuncture into her practice.
In her practice, she integrates Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and physical therapy to help her patients regain their health and relieve their pain.
